OVERVIEW:

This specification is provided for purchases to be made using funding from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund 2022 - 2025 as part of the Poultry Shed 2 Plan at West Nancemeer Farm.

ESTIMATED BUDGET:

Poultry Shed - £200,000 Chicken Housing Equipment - £460,000 Three phase electric installation - £25,000 50Kw Solar Panel System - £150,000

DELIVERABLES:

Groundswork, three phase installation and solar panels need to be ready for delivery in September 2023. Poultry shed and equipment need to be ready for delivery from October 2023. Prices to include delivery, installation and manufactures warranty.

TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION:

The following requirements should be met.

1. Supply, deliver and erect on ready prepared bases a 1 No. 68.4m long x 18.6 wide (internal bird area 68m x 18.3, includes services areas front and rear) x 3.35m high to eaves (external) power ventilated, clearspan free range building. To include all framework, insulated cladding, doors, automated pop holes, ventilation and guttering.

2. Supply, deliver and install a Multi Tier Free Range Laying System for 16,000 hens. To include all ventilation, feed equipment, LED lighting, water lines, nest boxes, and all relevant egg and manure conveyor belts. Also to include an egg packer with capability to pack 22250 eggs per day.

3. Supply, deliver and lay 79m x 19.3m x 127mm concrete pad on a stripped and levelled site. To include installing shed fixing bolts (supplied by shed builder). Also supply, deliver and lay 3m x 6m x 203mm concrete pad on a prepared site.

4. Supply, install and connect a three phase power supply to the farm. Must meet all regulations and safety standards.

5. Supply, deliver and install a 56.7kw Solar PV 69kWh Battery Storage System.

TENDER SCORING CRITERIA

As well as the comparison of price and lead time for delivery of product, the following criteria are to be used to select a successful tender.

1. Compliance against the technical specification.
2. Frequency and degree of maintenance
3. Compatibility with existing poultry shed set up and equipment 4.Ease if use

5.Deliverability

For each critera a scoring system is in place to give either a low (1 point) , medium (2 points), or high (3 points) score.

Successful tenders will be appointed on the highest score.
