Supply of Timber - AWARD

East Suffolk Council are looking to engage a supplier in respect of the provision of timber. All timber supplied is to be from sustainable sources in accordance with the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) guidelines and in accordance with the standards detailed within the Pricing Template attached at Appendix B of this Invitation to Tender.

Having declared a climate emergency East Suffolk Council places a high emphasis on managing our environmental impact and has made a commitment through our business plan to protect, enhance and make sustainable use of our environment.

Please ensure your tender response answer in Part B provides as much detail as possible regarding how you intend to minimise the environmental impact from this contract. Providing information about how you intend to report on this on a regular basis.

East Suffolk Council has varying ages of properties that we maintain. On this basis we often require timber to be cut to specific sizes so that we can repair our properties. As part of this tender the successful bidder must have access to a sawmill at our request on the day we are purchasing the timber to enable us to complete our repairs on the same day.
