GB-Lowestoft: Provision of Web Casting & Audio Visual

A new procurement timetable has been published as a clarification .Due to developments in video technology and the increased availability of consumer devices for accessing video content means that providing a service to webcast meetings is a feasible option for the Councils. Webcasting Council meetings could support a range of benefits from increasing democratic engagement and debate, especially on key local issues such as planning, to improving the transparency of Council processes and decision-making. It will also enable members of the public who are unable to attend a meeting to see and hear the debates that influence the decisions the Councils make.

The two Councils also wish to ensure that any new camera and microphone systems are effectively integrated with their existing audio visual and presentation systems so as to improve the range and performance of these systems to support meetings and events.

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
