To enable a customer to gain knowledge, and practical experience through the LGV training to enable the customer to gain a medical, complete theory test and LGV practical test in order to gain the licence so that they can drive a heavy goods vehicle and access employment within the industry. The LGV Course should cover the following topics:
- oDrivers hours laws and Tachographs.
- oManual Handling and Preventing Physical Risk.
- oFirst Aid and Actions in an Emergency.
- oSafe Loading and Vehicle Checking.
- oDrivers legal responsibility.
- oDrivers Issues and Conflict Management.
- oSafe Eco Driving, Including other road users.
- oHeath and Safety, driver and Manager Awareness.
- oFuel Efficient Driving and Safe Loading.
