The ABCD project is a joint project between Cornwall Council and Finistere Council which is funded by the EU's Interreg Channel Programme. The project will focus primarily on the following research objectives:-
- Measuring the carbon emissions of the on-farm milk production systems in Brittany and Cornwall
- Measuring the impact of different feeding and management regimes in reducing these emissions
- Comparing and contrasting the results of research undertaken in Brittany and Cornwall to identify and communicate any differences to the dairy sector
- Measuring and reporting the additional carbon savings that can be derived from the capture of fugitive methane emissions on Cornwall Council Farms (UK only element of the project)
