description
Health Education England (HEE - the Commissioner) are putting out this notice as a PIN (Prior Information Notice) with a view to completing a Direct Award.
Please note the contracting authority intends to direct award the contract to the Council of Deans of Health (CODH). The case for direct award can be found on the tender portal.
Heath Education England (HEE) considers that the CODH, given its membership and leadership role, is the only organisation capable of providing the support required to meet the specific requirements of the HEE National AHP Workforce Reform programme related to the role of the university sector in educating, training and developing the AHP workforce. The CODH is the only possible supplier with the experience and expertise to assist HEE in fulfilling Mandate deliverables and actions of UK government policy including the Long-Term Plan and People Plan.
Deliverables
The overall deliverables of the award are summarised below.
| • | To further the equity, diversity and inclusivity agenda by encouraging and supporting career progression of AHP academics from underrepresented backgrounds. |
| • | To further the growth and development of the workforce and support service transformation by engaging its members and stakeholders on advanced clinical practice and AHP research. |
| • | To support the development of AHP leadership by identifying and supporting future leaders. |
Rationale for selection of supplier
HEE believes that it is highly unlikely for any other supplier to be able to provide the expertise provided by the CODH as a supplier for the reasons outlined in the accompanying documentation.
The financial envelope for the contract is £93,000
