Equality Forums Support Service (2017/18)

Barnsley has a network of equality forums that enable Barnsley Council and its partners to carry out community engagement with these forums in a coordinated and efficient way. This engagement assists all the partner agencies to fulfil their public sector equality duty to demonstrate due regard to the impact of its functions on people with protected characteristics. Community engagement is coordinated through a partnership arrangement called Barnsley Reach. Barnsley Council is looking for a time-limited (12 months) service to support the development of a network of Equality Forums for community engagement purposes. In 2016/17 there will five Equality Forums we will be seeking support for. These forums each focus on specific issues facing different sections of the local community. NOTE: Applicants will need to register their interest against this procurement exercise via YORtender in order to gain access to the tender documents.
