description

The successful tenderer will be required to provide catering services at Dunraven School, 94/98 Leigham Court Road, London SW16 2QB.

With approximately 1 450 pupils, Dunraven School is an inner city coeducational all-through school with academy status located in Streatham in the London Borough of Lambeth.

The visit of OFSTED in October 2014 judged Dunraven as 'outstanding' in every category making it one of a handful of schools nationally to receive such an accolade.

The buildings are based over two adjacent sites. The South Site is the main secondary school area, holding years 7 to 11 and the North Site accommodates, the Reception / Primary school and dedicated Sixth Form centre.

In 2012, the School was allowed to become an all-through school and has expanded its provision from 11-18 to 4-18. The School took in the first set of reception pupils in September 2013 and the primary phase will develop year by year until Year 6 begin 2019.

Basis of Contract:

The School wishes to participate in a tender process with the intention of appointing a contractor to deliver the catering services at the School. The contract will commence on 1.9.2017 for a period of three years on a 'Cost Plus' with fixed guaranteed lines on food and labour costs in order to deliver best value.

Objectives:

The appointed Contractor will have significant experience of delivering quality catering services within school premises and the Contractor should have suitable experience and expertise of successfully managing the TUPE process.

The Contractor should also have a strong operational base local to the London Borough of Lambeth and be able to ensure adequate contract support and operational flexibility as and when needed at the School.

Ultimately it is important that the Contractor can demonstrate an ability to deliver productivity and efficiencies through the application of best practice and innovation and as a result will be expected to deliver sustainable quality and 'best value' to the School.
