Herefordshire Council is seeking to identify efficient, effective and reliable provider(s) to deliver a suite of residential, respite and supported living services (?the Services?) for Herefordshire residents with learning disabilities (LD).
Herefordshire Council is seeking to award a contract in respect of the Services by 1st August 2016. The Council anticipates that this Service will be subject to TUPE implications; therefore, the Council intends to facilitate the transfer of applicable TUPE data via the Tender process. The initial term of the contract will be 3 years, subject to continual performance satisfaction. In addition, the contract will include an option to extend for one year plus an additional option to extend for a further year (i.e. the potential for a maximum of 2 x 12 months extensions). Thereby, providing an overall contractual term of 5 years.
These services will be commissioned and funded by Herefordshire Council?s Adult and Wellbeing Directorate.
The overarching objectives of this services are to:
? help people with LD to live in a safe and comfortable home,
? enable people with LD to be as independent as possible,
? ensure that residents have the same choices and opportunities as other citizens,
? ensure that all residents are treated with courtesy, dignity and that their wishes are respected at all times,
? offer a personalised service that recognises the diverse lifestyle choices of service users,
? contribute to the continued health and well-being of service users.
? enable safe access to the local community.
