description
Evaluation for ACP Programme - Current Evidence Based for Advanced Level Practice within Health and related environments e.g. local authority, criminal justice, NHS commissioned voluntary and private services, across specialties and professions.
(Nursing, midwifery, allied health professions1, healthcare science, psychology, pharmacy, dental, social work)
Advanced Clinical Practice is developing at pace within England, Health Education England is working with stakeholders across the system to develop the national underpinning educational infrastructure to support this developing workforce.
As this national work commences we need to understand more fully the current state of play across the specialties, sectors and the multi-professional workforce in different roles across the care pathways.
Within this the key questions to be answered are:
-Detailed analysis of the existing evidence base behind advanced level practice within health and related environments e.g. local authority, criminal justice, NHS commissioned private services, across specialties and professions (Nursing, midwifery, allied health professions, healthcare science, psychology, pharmacy, dental, social work)
-The work must be inclusive of all professions listed and all sectors e.g. acute, community, primary care, learning disability, mental health, schools, prisons etc
-Indicate key areas of future impact in response to policy direction.
-Indicate key areas for future research as to the impact this professional group could have upon the system
