description

The University requires a rapid high-throughput automated system for Tissue Microarrays (TMA). This technique involves taking small representative tissue samples from hundreds of different cases assembled on a single histologic slide, and therefore allows high throughput analysis of multiple specimens at the same time. The approach allows assessment of various molecular markers that can inform researchers about disease states. The scope of this contract is for the supply, delivery, installation and commissioning of equipment as detailed in Section 3 Technical Specification, stated in the ITT, to Cellular Pathology Royal Victoria Infirmary, Newcastle together with 12 months warranty; an option for a 2 and a 3 year service contract and all training necessary for safe and reliable operation of the system and a complete set of Operating and Maintenance documents.
