Soft Market Testing - Chessington Sports Centre

Thank you to organisations for participating in this Soft Market Testing exercise. It is anticipated a decision as to next steps will be made during early 2017.

The Royal Borough of Kingston upon Thames (The Council) is undertaking an early engagement exercise to determine the future delivery options for the management of Chessington Sports Centre.

This programme is motivated by the fact that the Council’s management of the Sports Centre is in need of modernisation to bring it in line with our new overall objectives, particularly the aim to deliver more efficient and effective services, whilst making significant financial savings and maximising income.

The Council would like to understand whether there is interest within the market to deliver these services and is therefore carrying out a soft market testing exercise to engage in early informal dialogue prior to any formal procurement taking place.

Organisations that are interested in participating in this exercise are asked to complete and return our questionnaire via the London Tenders Portal no later than midday (12pm) on Wednesday 9th November 2016. All information provided in questionnaire responses and any subsequent discussions will be strictly confidential and will provide insight into the most favourable commissioning option for this contract.

This is not a call for competition, and the Council is not seeking formal proposals at this point. The Council does not have a firm intention to award contract(s) at this stage.
