description

The Provision of Hardware & Software Support & maintenance for Exagrid Appliances for 2 Years with the option to extend by a further 1 year. The ExaGrid system is a turn-key disk backup with data deduplication appliances that works with existing backup applications I.e Netbackup. ExaGrid combines the use of compression and byte-level data deduplication to minimize the amount of data stored. This works by using standard data compression for the most recent backups, along with saving only byte-level changes from backup to backup for all previous backups. This approach can reduce the disk space required for disk-based backup storage by 20 to 1. Within CoSsocius we use the ExaGgrid for disk backup of P1 Critical systems and SQL systems. This is to enable rapid restore as needed from the disk. Support is to be Co-terminated on 16th March 2018 with the option to extend for up to a further 12 month period. Service Level: 8x5 Telephone support 7 days a week All equipment is based at: Cheshire West & Cheshire Council, Kelly House Data Centre, Minerva Avenue, Chester, CH1 4QL
