The Framework will commence on 1st September 2016 and, subject to satisfactory performance, will operate for a period of two (2) years, terminating at midnight on 31st August 2018 (?the Framework Period?). At the sole discretion of the Authority (having first consulted with the other Participating Authorities) the Framework Period may be extended for up to two (2) years, in such period or periods as the Authority deems appropriate, providing a total possible Framework Period to 31st August 2020.

Lot A: Independent Travel Training:

The Service involves the provision of Independent Travel Trainers to enable current and future Service Users to travel independently: promoting independence, with a view to enabling independent travel, so Service Users are able to build confidence and learn skills to use the options of using various modes of transport or walking to reach any destination safely;

Lot B: Vehicle Passenger Assistants and Lot C: Community-Based Travel Assistants:

The Services involve the provision of Vehicle Travel Assistants and Community based Travel Assistants to collect Service Users from their agreed pick-up address and escort them to school (or recreational activity) and collect them from school (or recreational activity) and return them to a responsible adult at the agreed drop-off address at the end of the school day (or recreational activity).

*All applications and submissions can only be made via the London Tenders Portal.

The framework is a collaboration between five (5) neighbouring boroughs as described in the tender documents.
