description
A latex pump must be CE marked, be made of a substantial material to protect from external stress, to have a carry case to make the pump as discreet as possible and the volumes on the pump to be easily readable.
Each pump needs to provide ambulatory infusion therapy over a 24 hour period, and have a prove run time of + or – 10%.
The sizes needed of the pumps will be 100ml / 24 hours and 250ml/24 hours (or can be between 250ml to 300ml ) each pump needs to have a connection tubing of between 1 metre and 1.5 metres long.
We require the pump to have a priming filter / end cap with an integrated hydrophobic filter to reduce the risk of contamination with and integrated air / particle filter in the system which allows air to escape but not the medication. (Intrinsic in the system). We also require a back check valve on the filling port.
Full training would need to be provided to the Hospital at Home team on a train the trainer basis.
A delivery within 3 working days from receipt of order is expected with an emergency delivery services within 24 hours if needed. The successful supplier will need to attend review meetings and provide up to date data of usage etc.
