The aim of the Service is to provide short term, intensive, floating Housing Related Support for young people and young parents aged 16 to 25 years old living in the community with various types of properties regardless of the tenure. The floating support should not last more than two years. Housing Related Support will enable Customers to gain the skills, knowledge and experience to secure and/or maintain their own accommodation and live independently, thus preventing, reducing and/or delaying their need for care and support through homelessness.
Warwickshire has a population of young people and young parents that are at risk of being homeless or are homeless due to being unable to maintain their own tenancies and benefit from support. The needs analysis reports that in 2013-14 328 new client records were young people aged 16-25, representing 36% of all new clients. These young people require short term support to enable them to have the skills and confidence to live independently, safely and healthily.

Lot 4 - Generic Floating Housing Related Support (South)
The aim of the Service is to provide short term, intensive, Housing Related Support lasting not more than one year for Customers aged 25 years and above. The service support Warwickshire customers to stay in their own homes or work towards living in their own homes. In doing this the Provider will provide support to prevent homelessness, hospitalisation or institutional care. .
Current generic floating support services support between 217 and 247 Customers for up to 2 years who have accommodation and require support to maintain their independence. In the period form 1st April 2014 to 30th September 2015 these services were fully subscribed.
The new generic floating support Service to be provided from 1st August 2016 will have a wider brief to also support those who have no accommodation of their own.
Support will be provided to a wide range of people with diverse needs including older people, single people and families, gypsies and travellers and ex-offenders.
