Cornwall Council’s library and one stop shop review consultation begins on 1 April and will close on 10 June 2015. As part of the review we are keen to hear from commercial organisations interested in becoming involved in the running of services.
The consultation seeks views on two models, Model B considers:
Alternative whole service model e.g. transfer the operation of libraries to a trust, commercial organisation, or social enterprise, or through outsourcing
This model will also include options for alternative service delivery including: a regional service e.g. with other Local Authorities, and also new technology such as staff-less library booths.
We are seeking to gain a better understanding of potential alternative service delivery solutions offered by commercial organisations, primarily under Model B.
