The chromium controller supplied by 10x Genomics Inc is a cutting edge technology which allows single cell sequencing to be performed at scale and allowed researcher at Newcastle University to fulfil research requirements in accordance with grant funding and participate in large scale research consortia such as the human cell atlas project. There are no comparable products available which allows analysis with the sample size to produce the same quantity of data.
