GB-Bedford: BF0621 Classroom Conversion

Bedfordshire Fire and Rescue Authority is inviting suitably qualified organisations to bid for the conversion of the Auxiliary Fire Service (AFS) Area, (a former Fire Appliance Bay) based at Bedford Community Fire Station, Barkers Lane, Bedford, MK42 9SB, to a Training Classroom facility. The winning Contractor will be required to deliver the following works:

1.The conversion of the AFS Area, based at Bedford Community Fire Station, Barkers Lane, Bedford, MK42 9SB, to a Training Classroom facility.

2.Removal of roller shutter and running gear

3.Install U.P.V.C window(s) frame and door

4.Install dividing partition wall

5.Install partition wall with fire door and frame to create a store room

6.Install suspended ceiling

7.Install heating and air conditioning equipment

8.Install lighting and electric power points in dado trunking

9.Install external access concrete ramp, to include Hi-Vis edge markings, safety handrail/barrier

10.Final decoration and builders deep clean

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement.
