The quantum technology transfer centre at the University of Birmingham, as part of the quantum hub for metrology and sensors, has contracted for a hydrogen maser:
| • | At least one 10MHz output |
| • | At least one pulse per second (PPS) output |
| • | All outputs to be 50 Ohm impedance |
| • | Integrated battery power supply able to power the unit for greater than 12 hours in the event of mains power failure |
| • | Stability of <1E-13 at 1 seconds averaging time |
| • | Stability of <2E-15 at 10,000 seconds averaging time |
| • | Phase noise -120dBc/Hz or better at 1Hz offset, -150dBc/Hz or better at 1kHz offset |
| • | Magnetic sensitivity <2E-14 per gauss |
| • | Temperature sensitivity of <1E-15 per degree Celsius |
| • | Operational lifetime of 20 years or greater |
| • | Remote monitoring via platform agnostic computer interface. |
| • | Warranty period of >3years |
| • | Powered by standards UK plug and mains. |
