The Provision of Forensic Pathology Services to the Sovereign Base Authority Police within the East & West Sovereign Base Areas for British Forces Cyprus

British Forces Cyprus (BFC), (‘the Authority’) is seeking Expressions of Interest (EoI) for the Provision of Forensic Pathology Services to SBA Police.

The SBA Police require a Forensic Pathologist during police investigations for the examination of the deceased, sexual offences and serious bodily injuries.

The Services will be carried out on an ad-hoc and due to the nature of the requirement requests may be short notice and at unsociable hours.

The Forensic Pathologists must have a very good command of the English and Greek languages to communicate during the police investigation.

Evidence to be supplied with EoI are: Possess a State Diploma in Forensic Pathology, British Standards – Code of Practice & Performance Standards for Forensic Pathology, provide details of experience and skills held in pathology and to have at least five years ’hands on’ experience in Forensic Pathology.

Potential suppliers who do not provide evidence of a State Diploma, British Standards - Code of Practice & Performance Standards and experiences will be deemed as non-compliant and will be excluded from the tender process.

The duration of the contract will be for a period of up to 5 years .

Additional information: The contracting authority considers that this contract may be suitable for economic operators that are small or medium enterprises (SMEs). However, any selection of tenderers will be based solely on the criteria set out for the procurement, and the contract will be awarded on the basis of the most economically advantageous tender.
