Community Centre Solar Power

TENDERS ARE INVITED from suitable contractors for the installation of Solar PV Panels and Battery Storage at Tiptree Community Centre. Tiptree Community Centre has a large South-South East Facing roof of recent construction (2011). The site has been assessed as viable for Solar PV panels, and as such, Tiptree Parish Council would like to invite bids to provide a system comprising at least 32 PV modules (with attendant optimisers) feeding a battery pack of at least 12Kw. The system is then to interface with the current three Phase Electrical System onsite.

Bid Requirements:

• 1.proposed installation designs; including fixings to the roof and roof support structures;
• 2.estimated system production and consumption (similar to the reports enclosed);
• 3.estimated savings, based on an annual usage of approximately 12Mw.;
• 4.estimated lifespan; and
• 5.ongoing maintenance requirements and estimated costs.
• 6.Extras: The Parish Council have two items on their "wish list" of aspirational goals:
• (a)Consideration of an Electric Vehicle charging point of at least 10Kw/h, and
• (b)A reduction in the Gas charge incurred through underfloor heating of the site. Any ability to reduce this via electric storage heaters (x5) for the 3 meeting room/ halls would be favourably received.

Commissioning and handover: Following successful testing and commissioning of the system, a detailed operating manual will be provided to Tiptree Parish Council with 10 days.

Annual Maintenance - Prices for this service to be included, along with warranties for the system as a whole and any extended warranties.

Tender Response

Valid tenders must include details of 1-5 above along with the tender price. The tender price is to be broken out to fully show the cost of the Photovoltaic cells, the battery and the Optimisers separately, as well as the combined installation cost. A single cost for all aspects will not be considered a valid response. Responses are to be provided by email marked "Tender - Solar PV Panels" and addressed to: clerk@tiptreeparishcouncil.gov.uk no later than: 4pm on Friday 21st October 2022. Responses are to include copies of the relevant Insurance cover.
