DUD - Specialist, Electrical, Mechanical and Social Care Systems and Equipment

Dudley MBC invites suitable contractors to tender for the Service, Inspection, Maintenance, Repairs and Installation Works to Specialist, Electrical, Mechanical and Social Care Systems and Equipment.

The contract includes servicing and inspection of Fire Alarm Systems, Fire Suppression Systems, Mechanical part of Suppression Systems, Smoke Ventilation Systems, Dry Risers, Social Alarms within Sheltered Schemes, Lightning Conductors, High Rise Aerial Catenaries, Roof Fans to Hi-rise blocks, Photovoltaic & Solar Thermal systems, Laundry Equipment, Catering Equipment, Cold Water Pressure Booster Sets, Roller shutter doors, Closomats, Automated Car Park Barriers, Automated Door Openers, DualCom and Air Conditioning.

The works could also include the new installation / repair of Aerials, CCTV Systems, Door Entry Systems, Fire Alarm Systems Systems, Smoke Ventilation Systems , Social Alarm Systems, Security Doors, Roof Fans to Hi-rise blocks, Lightning Conductors, Photovoltaic & Solar Thermal systems, Laundry Equipment, Catering Equipment, Cold Water Pressure Booster Sets, Closomats, Automated Car Park Barriers, Automated Door Openers, DualCom, High Rise Aerial Catenaries and the repair of Roller shutter doors, Dry Risers and Air Conditioning.

This contract will be let to a single Contractor. It would not be appropriate to split this Contract into lots, as this will not deliver the expected economies of scale and will require additional supervision and management of which is uneconomic to resource in the current climate. This contract will have option of a 2 year extension.

This contract will be open for other West Midland Authorities to join and access.

The successful Contractor may also be required to carry out works for other Directorates within the Dudley MBC and/or other West Midland Authorities. Any such requests will be in writing in accordance with the terms and conditions of the contract and the contract Schedule of Rates will apply to such works.
