Staffordshire Police is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced Occupational Health Physician to provide Occupational Health Services to Staffordshire Police and Staffordshire Fire and Rescue Service for a two year period commencing 6 September 2017.
The key responsibility for the service provider will be to conduct medical reviews for a range of circumstances, for example, long term sickness absence, ill health retirement and injury awards, pre-employment medicals etc
The service provider will also provide professional clinical guidance and support to the team in order for the unit to meet its aims of maintaining and further improving the wellbeing of the workforce.
The Contractor must be able to provide an Occupational Health Physician (Physician service) who have experience as an Occupational Health Physician, preferably gained in a Police/Fire or Public Sector environment, the service provider should have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and have the ability to handle sensitive situations which may involve conflict.
The service requirement is anticipated to be for 2 sessions per week, where each session is of 3.5 hours in duration. Appointments will take place in this time. All reports from the session will be completed agreed and signed on the same day the appointment takes place.
