Birmingham City Council invites organisations to make an application to be considered for inclusion on a select list of tenderers for: External and internal refurbishment works.
The intention is for the works to be completed and invoiced in full before end of July 2017.
Brief Description of Works:
Refurbishment and conversion and adaptation of the ground and first floors to provide:
Ground floor:
- oRefurbishment of the existing Play centre to provide a Dance studio and Fitness Class adjacent.
- oRefurbishment of existing sports hall.
- oProvision of a new link corridor for access from the main reception area to the Dance Studio.
- oInclusive of demolition of existing spiral staircase.
- oConversion and adaptation of Male Changing Room to provide Female Changing Room and Shower Room.
- oRefurbishment of Reception Area and Toilets.
- oAlterations to the existing Male and Female Changing Rooms to provide access to the new Disabled WC and Shower.
- oInstallation of a Passenger Lift.
- oFor disabled access to the 1st floor.
- oNew Disabled WC and Shower.
- oRefurbishment of the Large Swimming Pool.
- oRoof.
- oInternal decorations to the ceiling.
1st Floor:
- oConversion and adaptation of Female Changing Room to provide Male Changing Room and Shower Room.
- oConversion and adaptation of Male and Female Toilets/Cleaner and Store Rooms to provide Male and Female Toilets.
- oConversion and adaptation of Studio to provide Consultant Room / Waiting Area and Store.
- oConversion and adaptation of Male and Female Toilets to provide Multi-Purpose Room.
- oAlterations adjacent to the new lift to provide a lobby as access to the Multi-Purpose Room corridor to existing stairs.
- oAlterations and Refurbishment works to the Gymnasium.
- oThe renewal of the suspended ceiling.
- oNew Gymnasium equipment to be installed.
- oAlterations to existing Store to form Corridor.
External Works:
- oRedecorate windows to the left of the main reception entrance to the ground and first floors.
- oRedecorate 2No rendered barrelled areas adjacent to the main entrance.
- oConstruct link corridor from existing reception to the new dance studio.
The Council will be using its e-tendering system (in-tend) for the administration and evaluation of this tender process, which along with the project scope and specification may also include requirements to provide the following for consideration:-
- oCompany Profile - Turnover, Organograms, Client Relationships, Sales Pipeline, Professional Body Registration / Memberships
- oTrade and Bank references (where appropriate).
- oEvidence of acceptable H&S and Quality Management Systems & Practices
- oEvidence of insurances to support required levels of indemnity & liability
- oEvidence of recent project history working on similar projects in similar environments with supporting case studies and method statement...
