Mayoral Chauffeur / Attendant Service to the Mayor of Blackpool Council.

Blackpool Council is seeking to appoint a contractor to provide a Mayoral Chauffeur / Attendant to the Mayor of Blackpool Council.

The role entails driving the Mayor, Deputy, or other civic representatives to the civic events they have been booked to attend, accompanying them during the course of the event, and providing advice and support on Civic protocols. These events take place both during the day and the evening mainly in the Fylde Coast area although there will be on occasion travel on a wider geographic basis. Paperwork for the events is produced by the Civic Officer at Blackpool, who is the Council's main contact for civic matters. On average the Mayor of Blackpool carries out approximately 400 engagements per year, which can involve anything from meeting royalty, opening local businesses or visiting local communities.

The Council uses its own civic vehicles, which the selected contractor would use to drive the mayoral parties to events. Blackpool Council will initially retain its vehicle, with the option to change in the future to include an appropriate vehicle at a later date.

The initial term of the contract will be three years from 1st April 2021, with the option to extend the contract for a further 1 year.
