description

The Smoking, Drinking and Drug Use in Young People Survey (SDD) is a long running survey producing high quality time series data.

The survey is the national source of information in England on smoking, drinking and drug use among young people for government departments including the Department of Health, Home Office, Public Health England and the Department for Education as well as the NHS and Local Authority Public Health bodies.

SDD is a unique data source collecting data on school children aged between 11 and 15 and provides the official national estimates of how many young people aged 11 to 15 smoke, drink alcohol or take illicit drugs.
