description
SBC are looking for a cycle parking provider(s) to join an Approved Provider List to deliver cycle parking across Southend, South East Essex and Thurrock.
Requirements of the successful bidder:
| • | To supply a range of cycle parking offers to businesses and organisations within the SEAT area. |
| • | Offer various types of cycle parking from a range of different manufacturers e.g. Sheffield stands, planters and bike hanger. |
| • | SBC will fund a maximum of 4 parking spaces per organisations, but organisations are able to purchase extra spaces from the provider if they wish. |
| • | To promote and market the scheme using their own marketing and communication tools to engage potential clients. |
| • | Handle all requests and enquiries regarding the scheme. |
| • | Carry out site visits where necessary to identify a suitable location and liaise with the client to establish the best type of cycle parking. |
| • | Offer a sample of cycle literature offering advice and promoting the benefits of cycling to all applicants. |
| • | Provide a presentation to the head of organisations if required. |
| • | The providers will also work closely with the Travel Engagement Team to identify and share organisations. |
| • | The providers will seek appropriate evaluation of the programme including participant feedback in line with the SEAT monitoring and evaluation plan. |
| • | Delivery of the physical cycle parking will be free of charge to the participating organisation; however installation cost will be met by the applicant. |
| • | Each organisation must meet set criteria as agreed by SBC. |
| • | The providers will promote the South Essex Active Travel interventions and services to organisations in the SEAT area. |
| • | The provider may also be required to attend SEAT events and activities up to a maximum of 6. |
The successful bidder(s) will ensure that each of the above deliverables meet the approval of Southend-on-Sea Borough Council.
