description
LCC are seeking to engage up to 3 companies to provide Traffic Management Infrastructure for the Liverpool's Dream. It is the intention of Liverpool City Council to award a maximum of one Lot to a single supplier.
The event takes place from Friday 5th October 2018 until Sunday 7th October 2018, although there will be pre-event activities taking place within the week leading up to these dates that may also require the assistance of traffic management.
Due to the nature of the event each day is unique and although traffic plans have been drawn up to cover each stage of the event, it will still require levels of flexibility and dynamics to respond to incidents/occurrences as they develop during the event.
Due to the scale of the TM required Liverpool City Council will engage more than one TM Company to assist in the delivery of the overall event.
It is envisaged that up to three companies will be appointed to complete the works in each of the following areas;
| - | Liverpool TM provision |
| - | Wirral TM provision |
| - | Diversion Routes/Contingency provision |
Please note that the TM plans and drawings have already been designed for this event and this contract is for the provision of the TM infrastructure, as detailed in the attached 'pricing schedule' and the resources to put out and collect the infrastructure each day. There will also be a requirement to produce the individual 'special' signs that are required.
Also note that some of this equipment, especially on the Wirral, will be required to put on the motorway network therefore the infrastructure and staff MUST comply with the regulations associated with this type of work. (Sector scheme 12 AB & C).
