The PCC for Essex invited bids from providers with expertise in violence and vulnerability, including gang diversion and intervention, to:

(a)provide direct, targeted support to individuals at highest risk of exploitation to divert them away from engaging in gang activity, and
(b)educate and inform professionals, including teachers, about what risk-factors to look out for in relation to gang involvement, and how to signpost vulnerable young people to appropriate support.

It is intended that the service will be for a period of two years with the option to extend for 12 months.

The funding available for this activity is £200,000 over two years.
