Construction at Nessus Street, Portsmouth of 2No New 5 Bed Bungalows & 2 No 1 Bed Bungalows

Portsmouth City Council is seeking tenders from suitably qualified and experienced building contractors to tender for the demolition of the old Buckland Family Centre and the construction of 2 No 5 bed bungalows and 2 No 1 bed bungalows. The works incl all M&E and specialist services and external works.

This contract will be a result of this PQQ and tender process. In addition, and subject to the aggregated value not exceeding £4m, the Council reserves the right to invite further tenders from this contractor shortlist to be let over the next 12 months, from formulation of the shortlist, for contracts of a similar size and scope to those being tendered under this procurement exercise.

The new bungalows are to provide supported living within the City for those with challenging behaviour. The construction of the bungalows will relieve the Council of other rental liabilities to provide this accommodation elsewhere and provide standards of accommodation commensurate with current market expectations.
