Carers Market Engagement Event

In May 2021 Southend-on-Sea Borough Council intends to publish a tender opportunity for a Carers Support Service which will be focus on a number of key outcomes.

The Council invites suitably qualified service providers to attend an online market engagement to inform providers of the Council's vision for its Carers Support Service, its competitive tendering process and timetable for procurement. There will also be opportunity for providers to ask questions and make comments where appropriate.

The event will be held virtually via Teams between 1:00pm and 2:30pm on Thursday 25th March 2021.

Organisations interested in attending the event should confirm their attendance by email to procurementadvisors@southend.gov.uk and an email invitation to the meeting will follow.

To help with the administration for this event, please include the subject heading 'Carers Market Engagement Event' in your email and include the job titles/roles of attendees and their contact details, to ensure the sessions are planned effectively and enable us to contact attendees should there be any unforeseen circumstances.

This exercise is not part of any pre-qualification or selection process; it is intended as an awareness, communication and information-gathering exercise offering an opportunity for potential providers to help understand our commissioning intentions.

The Council is not liable for any costs, fees or expenses incurred by any party participating in this exercise. Any procurement of any services, supplies or works by the Council in due course will be carried out strictly in accordance with the provisions in the Public Contracts Regulations.
