This notice is being published to give advance notice to the market of a forthcoming call for competition, and to provide an opportunity for businesses wishing to do so to participate in a market testing exercise. Participants should register as a supplier on the portal then search for the opportunity titled "Soft Market Testing Exercise - Minor Works". Questionnaires may be submitted at any time but submissions before a deadline of 15 May 2017 would be most helpful.

Annual spend on minor works in this context can be variable. Historically total spend has been seen in a range of £8-9m per annum. Future annual spend may vary further.

Over 400 individual works orders can be issued each year with peaks in the number of orders issued usually seen in February, June to July, and September to October.

Historically individual works order values are most commonly below £50,000, but can in some cases be higher.
