HGV & CPC Training Provider

The London Borough of Hounslow requires an experienced training provider for this contract to offer both driver CPC training for drivers to Hounslow residents as well as full HGV training to one-two cohorts.

The successful bidder must demonstrate how they will attract referrals directly to the training programme as well as how they will engage local partners to support this endeavour. A menu of options to meet the varying needs of residents, with a view to providing an in-to-work model is required. This includes ensuring that training and qualification intervention leads to meaningful, sustainable work placements, sustainable employment or further training with local developers in the region.

Responding clearly to the needs of employers who are working locally, both in Hounslow, as part of the Heathrow supply chain and in neighbouring boroughs, included here should be a clear demonstration of resident attraction, assessment of needs, identification of potential pathways and intervention that is targeted to meet individual requirements. This will include ensuring that those who engage in the CPC/HGV programme are fully equipped and supported into sustainable employment or apprenticeship opportunities. We are very clear in a need to avoid intervention via skills training for our residents that does not lead to an improvement in their circumstances.
