description
Cambridgeshire County Council invites quotations for the provision of Communications Services for Cambridgeshire Music. Cambridgeshire Music's vision is that all children, families and adults in Cambridgeshire take advantage of the rich cultural opportunities available in the county, and that the providers of those opportunities work together to drive quality and reach. Cambridgeshire Music's mission is to provide children, families and adults in Cambridgeshire with high quality performing arts education and therapy, through direct delivery, commissioning and strategic leadership. As lead organisation for the Cambridgeshire Music Hub, Cambridgeshire Music works with a wide range of organisations to create joined-up music education provision, respond to local need and deliver the National Plan for Music Education. Its direct delivery includes tuition on a wide range of instruments and opportunities for young people to play together in ensembles and bands at all levels. It loans instruments to individual learners and schools, and holds an extensive library of sheet music for reference and loan. It provides music and drama therapy in a variety of settings. Its special projects bring live music into schools and open up opportunities for young people to work with professional artists. Its many partners include schools, local authorities, higher education institutions, orchestras, arts and culture organisations and cultural education partnerships. Based in Huntingdon, with over fifty staff, Cambridgeshire Music is a trading service within the Learning Directorate of Cambridgeshire County Council.
