description

The Rayne Institute is a specialist Medical Research Facility within King's College London conducting world leading research in haematological diseases, including blood cancers and red cell and clotting disorders. Our teams comprise of world-class clinical and research experts in genomics, immunology, molecular biology and cellular therapies. Our patients are at the heart of our research as we work together to discover future improvements in patient care.

The Comprehensive Cancer Centre operates a cryogenic storage facility for living cells and tissues, especially primary human blood and bone marrow samples. Cryopreservation at ultra-low temperatures is key to maintaining the integrity of sensitive biological materials for extended periods of time and the Rayne cryostore provides the necessary installations to hold valuable tissue samples until these can be used in research programmes.

This Intend project is being undertaken in several stages of which this is stage 1 and for information gathering, arranging site visits and registering interest for subsequent stages.

Additional information: Potential partners are requested to complete SR00110 - Stage 1 Questionnaire which will provide initial feedback, register interest and enable arrangement of site visits.
