The primary objectives of the contract are:
| • | To complete farm carbon assessments for 5 pilot farms in the Fellfoot Forward landscape |
| • | To support farmers in pilot programme with bespoke action planning to reduce their carbon emissions and increase farm carbon sequestration. |
| • | To provide training for staff of the Farmer Network, the North Pennines AONB Partnership and Cumbria Action for Sustainability in data collection, interpretation and action planning for farm carbon. |
| • | To provide training for other farmers in the Fellfoot Forward landscape in completing their own farm carbon assessments. |
The Council has confirmed NLHF (National Lottery Heritage Fund) funding to enable delivery of this Project.
