Commissioning Market Event
GREAT MEADOWS Care and Support - Market Engagement Event
Friday 24th February 2023 - 2 sessions are available
Morning - 10am to 12noon
Afternoon - 2pm to 4pm.
Delivered by Surrey County Council and NHS Surrey Heartlands
Venue - Surrey County Council, Woodhatch Place, 11 Cockshot Hill, Reigate RH2 8EF
Surrey County Council and Surrey Heartlands are holding a market engagement event to focus on a future tender for care and support delivery to the Great Meadows Scheme. The event will be attended by senior officers from SCC and Surrey heartlands to talk about service intentions, understand the markets experience and respond to any questions. Procurement will also provide details about the tendering platform.
While the commencement date of the contracts at the property is anticipated to be circ. November 2023, we are keen to give interested parties the opportunity to influence the service specification for delivering care and support for tenants referred into the service.
The individuals to be supported will indicatively have complex needs relating to autism, learning disability and / or mental health, and reflecting previous offences and behaviours whilst in hospital. The scheme and care & support regime is intended to provide a step through service whereby individuals will be placed with the intension that they move on to other community support services that provide less intensive / specialist support.
Great Meadows is a purpose-built accommodation for people who have learning disabilities, autism and mental health and are to be discharged from inpatient settings. Some of the individuals may be being discharged from low - medium secure settings, some of whom will have Ministry of Justice orders or other restrictions placed on them under the Mental Health Act.
Where required, individuals will need to be supported to manage the restrictions placed on them and risk to themselves and others in a community setting, The service provider will support them with independence skills to maintain community living. We are looking for a forward-thinking innovative organisation who will develop and provide a service that is able to integrate and work effectively with community services. This is with the intention to create an effective wrap around provision, with community services helping create the best environment for successful community rehabilitation and reduction of the risk of reoffending.
We already have the property landlord arrangements in place, and we are seeking to contract with a provider that has experience of delivering care & support to people with similar needs in a supported living model.
