DEP - Treatment of Council Contract Waste

The contract is for the Treatment of Contract Waste collected by the Council(s) and Bristol Waste Company

under its waste collection and waste disposal authority obligations. Other permitted local authority users that

reside in the selected region are able to use this contract during its term https://www.gov.uk/find-local-council While the contracting Authority cannot guarantee volumes over the term of the contract period, an indication

of year one tonnage is advised and it is estimated that the total potential value for orders could be between

20,000,000 GBP and 150,000, 000 GBP over the contract term if all contracting authorities use this contract. No

compensation etc., will be paid if a tender or resulting agreement is withdrawn for any reason. There is also a

possibility that this contract may be Novated during its term and the bidders should be aware in this process that

they fully understand and accept this position. The contract term is 5 years (60 months) with the option of up to

a 4 year (48 month) extension.

Additional information: Applicants can access the tender documents without being registered on the ProContract e-tendering portal but will need to register in order to submit a bid. Applicants are advised that the Council is subject to the Freedom of Information Act 2000 (the Act). If an applicant considers that any of the information supplied as part of this procurement procedure should not be disclosed because of its commercial sensitivity, confidentiality or otherwise, they must, when providing this information, clearly identify the specific information that they do not wish to be disclosed and clearly specify the reasons for that sensitivity. The Authority may take such statements into consideration in the event that it receives a request pursuant to the Act which relates to the information provided by the interested party. Please note, it is not sufficient to include a statement of confidentiality encompassing all the information provided in the response. All dates and time periods specified in this notice are only provisional and the Council reserves the right to change these. The Council reserves the right not to award any or part of this contract. No statement or thing contained in this notice or the tender documents or made or undertaken as part of the tender process is intended to or shall be taken as constituting a contract, agreement, warranty or representation between the Council and/or any other party (excluding a formal award of contract made by the Council or any formal express legal agreement).
