The Home Office's Data Services & Analytics (DSA) Unit intends to put in place a £48m contract over a 2 year term with an option to extend (+1+1+1 years) with a single Service Provider for the provision of end-to-end Data Platform Services
Additional information: DSA products and services are growing in their uptake and business-criticality. They are all at various stages of maturity and are becoming more reusable, with more shared code, and are becoming more able to serve multiple Home Office customers rather than single business areas. There is a need to provide specialist support services to new and existing products across the wider Home Office.The Service Provider will be required to provide various service lines that can support and enhance new and existing services in a live running environment. The successful supplier will be proficient with cloud-based technologies, building, supporting and using data pipelines and large data sets, using Agile methodologies, and provide first, second and third-line support services.Data Platform Services (DPS) is a fully integrated service that provides level 2 and 3 product and data platform and pipeline support, DevOps, DataOps, DBA and core engineering services for DSA services Home Office and Other Government Department customers. DPS delivers a core data platform and integrated enterprise service that separate Data Engineering and DSA products services can use. There is a need for clear hand-offs between these services to enable both live service support and developmental services to work alongside and deliver both service types efficiently and effectively.DSA products and services are moving to enterprise class delivery capabilities and some will require 24/7/365 support, whilst others will require enhanced end to end services including out of hours change & deployment services. DSA currently has multiple support teams and contracts that need to be enhanced and consolidated to deliver the high level of service required for enterprise class operations.The Successful Supplier must have detailed, deep or full stack engineering demonstrable experience and hands-on knowledge and accredited to UK Government OFFICIAL and OFFICIAL-SENSITIVE:-Suppliers should note that while the Home Office intends to conduct a formal Early Market Engagement (EME) event. The procurement exercise will be conducted under RM6100 Technical Services 3 Framework Lot3d.
