description
Gloucestershire County Council Client Affairs Team seeks to commission a service to visit and report on clients whom the council act as property and affairs deputy. Responses to this Request for Quote should be made via the Supplying the South West system by registering an interest against this advert. Once this step is completed you will receive an email containing the link to further information. Responses should be made using the blank pro-forma within that information.
The Client Affairs Team act as finance deputy for approximately 450 vulnerable adults; the majority of whom live within Gloucestershire with a small number living out of county. To satisfy the local authority's obligation to the Court of Protection and the Office of the Public Guardian, and in accordance with the Mental Capacity Act (2005), we are looking to commission an independent service to visit approximately 25% of our clients each year to evaluate the local authority's effectiveness as corporate deputy.
The Client Affairs Team will identify the clients who are due for, or have an immediate need for, a visit; draw up a visit instruction in the format agreed; collate batches of visits and issue them to the relevant visitor with a date for the completion of the visit and report. The service will be expected to contact the service provider/client to make an appointment to visit; complete a visit within the time specified; write and submit a report in the agreed format
