Prior Information Notice (PIN) for the provision of General Practice Specialty Trainee (GPST) Medical Indemnity Insurance - Health Education England, London and South East - NHS/SoEPS/17.328

NHS South of England Procurement Services (SoEPS), acting on behalf of Health Education England (HEE - the Commissioner) will be commencing a tender for the provision of General Practice Specialty Trainee (GPST) Medical Indemnity Insurance. This Prior Information Notice (PIN) is to advise prospective providers of the Commissioners intention.

HEE London & South East (HE LaSE), HEE's Local Education and Training Board (LETB), is currently looking to establish a single and block Provider of Medical Indemnity Insurance for all its General Practice Specialty Trainees (GPST) whilst working in Primary Care settings.

Initially these arrangements will cover only training schemes in Greater London but it is our intention to roll these arrangements out to cover all GPST training schemes within our geographic footprint of London, Kent, Surrey and Sussex.

These Statement of Requirements set out the service and quality specification for the block procurement of GPST Medical Indemnity Insurance, arrangements that we hope to have in place as from February 2018.

The ITT is expected to be published week commencing 24 July 2017.

The commissioner reserves the right not to proceed with the Procurement, or any part thereof, or change the requirements as necessary at any time.

It is the intention of the commissioner that the procurement will be conducted as on OJEU Service Contract using an Open Procedure under the Public Contracts Regulations 2015.

Additional information: The anticipated total contract value is: £3,491,138.40 (including VAT).
