The Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC), in Daresbury, invites tenders for the supply of a Water Chiller on one of their Accelerators
The project consists of the supply and commissioning of an additional Water Chiller.
PROJECT DETAIL
The water chiller is to be air cooled and have a guaranteed cooling capacity at least 500kw, given the following conditions :-
| • | Maximum ambient air temperature of 32°C |
| • | Process fluid: 25% ethylene glycol / water |
| • | Process fluid supply temperature: 10°C, ± 1°C |
The chiller must also be suitable for operation under the following process conditions :-
| • | The process fluid flow rate: 15 - 45 l/s |
| • | The process fluid pressure: up to 10 bar |
THE CHILLER IS ALSO TO HAVE THE FOLLOWING FEATURES:-

- Low Global Warming Potential Refrigerants (LOW GWP)
- Chiller Compressors must be Oil free.

| • | Capable of controlling water pump operation up to 30kw (400v 3~) |
| • | Volt free alarm output |
| • | Configurable alarm settings (high temperature, fault etc) |
| • | Low flow protection |
| • | Configurable process fluid supply temperature. |
| • | Suitable for low ambient operation. |
| • | Sound power level is below 80dBA (10m Free Field) calculated in accordance with BS EN ISO11203:2009 (Frequency Range 63 Hz – 8 KHz) |
| • | Suitable for outdoor operation. |

Once you have registered on the eSourcing Suite, a registered user can express an interest for a specific procurement. This is done by emailing ExpressionOfInterest@ccs.gsi.gov.uk.
