International Fluorinated Gas/ODS Support and Market Analysis - Call-off Contract.

Ensure sufficient technical support during the negotiations at international meetings under the Montreal Protocol to develop and underpin the UK's negotiating objectives;

Provide technical input on Defra funded bilateral activities relating to the global HFC phase down to maximise environmental and economic benefits through identifying synergies and potential co-benefits including strategies to enhance energy efficiency (EE) at the same time as the refrigerant transition; helping to deliver a holistic approach to measures aimed at providing sustainable cooling for all; leveraging international cooperation by working with key institutions with shared objectives; assisting in the development of international and regional cooperation and partnerships to develop similar metrics, capitalise on scale and identify and address barriers to accelerating the uptake of new solutions and approaches towards low Global Warming Potential (GWP) and EE equipment.

Support Defra in outreach activities to develop policy options and scenarios aimed at encouraging strategies for an early switch towards low GWP and EE alternatives at international level.
