NB Medical are providing a GP Update Course for West Midlands TPD's and RTT Support Team. General Practice has the broadest training of all the specialities.

The AKT exam which is a mandatory component of the MRCGP is a multiple choice paper which can ask questions on any relevant clinical area plus suitable questions on statistics and practice management.

The GP Update courses are designed to cover topic areas which are pertinent to the AKT examination.

Doctors in GP Training will pay for the GP Update Course from their study leave. It is costed very reasonably and delivers worthwhile clinical knowledge through online portal. In addition, there is also access to clinical webinars and e-learning and a resource book (pdf) for 12 months.

The Training Programme Directors also find attending this course worthwhile as it ensures they also maintain their knowledge base.
