This contract is for the provision of Out of Hours Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) in the London Borough of Barnet.

The service aims to support the delivery of community (Tier 3) services outside of normal service hours through the provision of an on call, out of hours CAMH service to Barnet General Hospital specifically in the Emergency Department, Paediatric and Medical Wards for children and adolescents up to their 18th birthday. The specified hospital will have access to specialist CAMHS consultancy, assessment and treatment decisions and recommendations (including authorisation of in-patient treatment where necessary) outside of normal specialist community CAMH Service opening times.

NHS Barnet CCG is keen to test the potential provider market for Out of Hours Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service.

Potential providers can express an interest in this market testing exercise by sending an e-mail to clinical.procurement@nelcsu.nhs.uk.

The deadline for submitting a response for this market testing exercise is at 26th March - 17.00hrs

Your e-mail must include a paragraph (max 500 words) including the estimated total cost (with a breakdown of costs for Phase 1 (Year 1) and Phase 2 (Year 2) for providing the out of hours CAMHS based on the draft service specification provided and your organisation’s technical capability and previous experience of delivering Out of Hours Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service or similar services.

Please note that this is a market testing exercise to inform the CCGs’ decision making process. This does not commit the CCG to a carry out a procurement process.

Bidders who have expressed an interest in this market testing exercise will have to submit a separate response if a procurement exercise is subsequently undertaken. A shortlist of economic operators will be compiled and potential bidders will be invited to submit a bid for the project.
