description
Surrey County Council (SCC) is seeking to improve the support and challenge to young people who demonstrate abusive behaviours by developing a co-ordinated, flexible, whole family, child first approach that works early with young people. The commissioned pilot will focus on working with young people who present with abusive or unhealthy behaviours in their relationships with intimate partners, their parents/carers, and other family members. The main outcome of the commissioned service is to reduce any patterns of violence or abusive behaviours that is harmful or repeated and to reduce the risk posed to others.
The commission is for an 18-month pilot which will be used to demonstrate the effectiveness of the intervention to allow for evidence based future commissioning of a long-term service.
