The Provision of Furniture for the New Business School

The University of Wolverhampton (the ‘University’) (including any entity which from time to time is a subsidiary of the University of Wolverhampton and any entity over which from time to time any of the entities defined in this paragraph either directly or indirectly exercises management control, even though it may own less than (50%) of the shares and is prevented by law from owning a greater shareholding) wishes to enter into a contract (the “Contract”) with a Contractor (the ‘Contractor’) to supply and install Furniture to the new University Business School. The University is seeking an agreement via competitive Tenders (“Tenders”) from suitably qualified organisations (“Tenderers”) in response to this Invitation to Tender (“ITT”) for the provision of the aforementioned goods (‘Goods) and related services (‘Services’).

Following investment in the Faculty of Social Sciences and the erection of a new Business School the requirement is for the building to be completely furnished by 25th September 2015. Full solution requirements are detailed in Schedule 1 and Schedule 3 of the ITT.

The successful contractor will be expected to comply with the University’s policies available on the University’s website including the following, non-exhaustive list:

• Health and Safety
• Equality and Diversity
• Whistleblowing

The subject matter of the contract has been scoped to take into account the priorities of the University relating to economic, social and environmental well-being. These priorities are described in the ITT documentation and are reflected in the evaluation criteria for the award of the contract.

This is a one off Procurement exercise for the University. The Contract is expected to commence on 22nd July 2015, with the first delivery date being 01st September 2015.

Deadline for completed submissions is 17th June 2015, 12noon. The University is administering the Tender process in accordance with the provisions of the Public Contracts Regulations 2015 (Open Procedure with Urgency). ‘Urgency’ is applied to this contract given the timescales involved to furnish the new Business School by 25th September 2015.
