Bradford Council is committed to improving educational outcomes for all the children across the district and is investing resource over the next 3 year period (2015-2018) to attract the best teachers and leaders to the District and then retain them.

The Council is looking for a Supplier to provide “Recruitment and Retention Strategy” services. It is expected that this resource will be provided exclusively for Bradford Council and be based at Margaret McMillan Tower, Bradford over a three day period each week (in school term time) as agreed with the Council. Office hours are 09.00am until 17.30pm or as otherwise agreed with the Council. You may also be required to work at other locations within the City of Bradford Metropolitan District Council's area to meet the needs of the Council's services. The period of the contract is from 1st October 2016 to 31 August 2018 subject to the Supplier meeting the key performance indicators detailed in this document.

The key outcomes the Council is seeking to achieve are:

Recruitment

Increase the recruitment of high quality teachers and leaders to Bradford Schools Increase the number of applications by 50% within the Bradford District

Retention

Reduce the number of teachers and leaders who leave the profession and/or the district.

To retain high quality teachers and leaders in Bradford Schools

These outcomes sit at the heart of the Bradford Education Covenant as the Council recognises that good or better schools are led and managed by high quality leadership, who, in turn, attract and develop the best teaching staff. They will form the basis of the “Key Performance Indicators” (KPI’s) with the successful Supplier.
