Tuneable Laser System for Synchrotron Pump-Probe Studies

The scope of this tender is for an ultra-fast laser system suitable to be moved between experimental beam-lines with wavelength and repetition rate tuning.

The laser system will initially be integrated into the central laser facility's development lab and the scope of the contract will include:

• manufacture and delivery,
• installation with commissioning and performance tests,
• hardware and software maintenance service (service contract),
• service visit for the first move and installation on to an experimental beam-line at diamond light source.

If the required performance can be met or exceeded using alternative designs, technologies or materials, then these will not be excluded from consideration as long as sufficient information is supplied to justify the proposed solution. If some of the technical specifications cannot be met then this should be made clear. While it is strongly preferred that all technical specifications be achieved or exceeded, proposals that do not meet every technical specification will not necessarily be rejected.
